Dr. Sara Edwards

Dr. Sara Edwards was taking a zoology class at Millsaps College when she had an epiphany: she decided to become a veterinarian. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, and then graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Today Dr. Edwards has a special interest in physical therapy and rehabilitation.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Edwards and her husband George (a surgical resident at South Paws) have a son and they also share their home with two dogs, Jake and Nicolas, and a three-legged cat named Rhia. She's focused on raising her son and enjoys hiking, running and spending time with friends and family.
